Comparing Microstock Sales: November 2012 and November 2011

It’s about a time to compare microstock sales in November 2011 and November 2012 on Shutterstock, 123RF, Vectostock, iStockphoto and other microstocks. Press “Continue Reading” to find out more:

And again new sales records for Shutterstock. The level of earnings was just slightly higher than in October, but it is still a record so far, and nearly 4 times as much as in November 2011:)

123RF showed a record in sales in November too. Vectostock didn’t show any good results though, and its November sales were really disappointing.

iStock was on the same level as last month; and I hope the next month I will see the same level of partner programme earnings as in October and September, which added about 20% of sales on top of monthly earnings.

The graph of overall earnings excluding Shutterstock looks like the following. Redbubble was selling extremely good in November which made me very happy:)

And which trends in sales do you have?

Wow! Redbubble is the top earner after Shutterstock? Congratulations! Excellent work!

Hello Ananstasiia, thanks for sharing as every month.
In my case, Shutterstock was also the best agency. In IStockphot I noticed a drop in sales think motivated by the recent changes in their web, and in my case I have not recovered the sales i had before.
Shutterstock going well; recently i have upload ten new illustrations and I have noticed that sales have improved. The question I have is how long it stays that push and they fall back time if I upload new pictures in a while.

Surely you know CreativeMarket,if not I’m sure you’ll be interested. I think it’s a very interesting site. I get in few days ago, I found they have a very nice place with very good ideas.

I wrote a post on my blog with my views about CreativeMarket (sorry, only in Spanish)

    greetings

Thank you for the comment, Jesus!
Well, I am trying to upload at least 10 images a week, then the sales are good. I don’t know how long the sales will still be growing if you leave it without uploading.
For now, when I have time I always try to upload something new:)

Congrats, Nastiushka! Glad to see that you are doing so well!!! :) I have just quit exclusivity on Istockphoto and am in the process of uploading my portfolio to a couple of microstock agencies. Looking forward to see the results! Good luck this month! Hugs!

As you say Anastasiia, one of the best advice for this business is to try to upload every week some news illustrations. I will try to be more consistent. But in my case I’d be happy if I create and upload four or five in a week.

I’m thinking of trying microstock as well. I hope my vector is appealing enough to attract buyers.
